IPOH: A teenager was charged in two Sessions courts here with five counts of raping his 14-year-old girlfriend.
The 19-year-old youth pleaded guilty on Thursday to four of the charges, two of which occurred behind the community library at Kampung Tengku Hussein Baru here on June 27 and 28.
Another happened at the village's kindergarten toilet area on June 29 and another at the 19-year-old's house at Kampung Tengku Hussein Baru on July 3.
All the incidents were alleged to have taken place between 3.30am and 4.30am.
However, the youth claimed trial to another charge of raping the girl on June 30 at the same kindergarten toilet area between 3.30am and 4.30am.
Sessions Court judges Rasidah Chik and Tan Hooi Leng fixed bail at RM8,000 for each charge in one surety.
Both judges fixed Aug 29 for sentencing and for the teenager to appoint a lawyer for his trial.
If convicted, the youth faces a maximum 20 years' jail with whipping under Section 376 of the Penal Code.

As such, Shelter (Advocacy & Awareness) was started in April 2007 to be a stronger voice for children in Malaysia who have been abused or violated.
Purpose/objectives of the news tracker
Daniel Schorr of CBS News says, "All news is an exaggeration of life." But, life should not be a casual dismissal and forgetting of the many instances of abuse and violation of our children.
Shelter News Tracker is then an attempt to record and track the many reports and court cases of abuse that is reported daily in our Malaysian online newspapers. In this way, Shelter (Advocacy & Awareness) hopes to be a voice and a record for the innocents in our society.
After all, a Chinese proverb says, "Good news about someone never gets past the door, but bad news will travel a thousand leagues away."
