BATU PAHAT: A teenager was allegedly raped by an odd-job worker after she was tricked into following him back to his house.
Police said the 15-year-old student was raped by the man, 25, who had stopped her to ask for help at about 10am on Wednesday.
The victim was on her way to school when the suspect bumped into her.
The suspect then took the girl to his home where he raped her. He only sent her back to her house at about 4pm on the same day.
The victim lodged a report at the Batu Pahat police station later that evening.

Purpose/objectives of the news tracker
Daniel Schorr of CBS News says, "All news is an exaggeration of life." But, life should not be a casual dismissal and forgetting of the many instances of abuse and violation of our children.
Shelter News Tracker is then an attempt to record and track the many reports and court cases of abuse that is reported daily in our Malaysian online newspapers. In this way, Shelter (Advocacy & Awareness) hopes to be a voice and a record for the innocents in our society.
After all, a Chinese proverb says, "Good news about someone never gets past the door, but bad news will travel a thousand leagues away."
