The Star online. News. Nation. Tuesday July 3, 2007
KUALA LUMPUR: A five-year-old girl was abducted by two men wearing black jackets on a black motorcycle in front of her father's shop in Chow Kit here.
A witness who wanted to be named only as Azizah, in her 40s, said the girl was playing with a friend at the shop in Jalan Raja Bot when she was snatched by one of the men at about 3.55pm.
“Passers-by who had also witnessed the incident informed the father who was at the back of the shop,” she said.
A Dang Wangi police spokesman confirmed that a report had been lodged by a man over his daughter's disappearance.
Last week, it was reported that a seven-year-old girl was molested by a man wearing a black jacket and riding a black motorcycle as she was waiting for her mother in front of a school in nearby Kampung Baru.
The man had earlier approached the girl and asked for her help to find a missing cat.
Similar tactics were used in two other cases involving two children aged seven and eight. – Bernama

KUALA LUMPUR: A five-year-old girl, who was reportedly abducted on Monday outside her father’s shop here, has been reunited with her family.
Businessman Usman Abdul Karim, 45, said his daughter, Suci Rahmadhani, was found with bruises on her hands and legs at a back lane of a hotel in Jalan Raja Bot.
The family believed the child’s abductors had tied her hands and legs with ropes.
A neighbour saw the girl at about 6.30am yesterday, not far from where she was snatched by two men on a motorcycle. He brought her back to her family.
She has since been warded at the paediatric ward of the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a check-up.
Usman said the girl was found lying on the roadside, looking depressed.
Two men, seen in black jackets and riding on a black motorcycle, had snatched the girl away while she was playing in front of her father’s shop in Chow Kit here at 3.55pm on Monday.
Passers-by who witnessed the incident informed Usman, who was at the back of the shop.
Initial investigations revealed that Suci was not molested or sexually abused but the police are waiting for the doctors’ report.
It is learnt that bloodstains were found on the girl’s skirt.
City police chief, Senior Asst Comm I Zul Hasnan Najib Baharuddin, said the police were still investigating the case.
He said they have not ruled out the possibility that the same men who had molested another young child at nearby Kampung Baru here last Thursday had abducted Suci.

KUALA LUMPUR: A 5-year-old girl, who was reported missing two days ago, was found in Kampung Baru here yesterday covered with bruises and blood on her legs.
The girl was believed to have been taken away by a man, on a black motorcycle, in the same area on Monday.
The traumatised girl was found about 6am by a passer-by who was shocked at the state she was in. He informed the police who sent the girl to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.City police chief DCP Zulhasnan Najib Baharudin confirmed the incident and said police were looking for two men to assist in investigations.
"We are reviewing the facts of the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The public’s help is crucial in solving the case," he told the press yesterday.
The victim’s father expressed his happiness at his daughter’s safe return. He said he was glad that his prayers had been answered.
"My daughter had not eaten for an entire day, according to the doctor who examined her and I only saw her for a short while," he said.
However, doctors have yet to ascertain if she was sexually assaulted.
In Monday’s incident, the victim was playing with her 6-year-old cousin in front of her father’s grocery shop in Jalan Raja Bot. Her father returned to the shop at 3.30pm and found his daughter missing.
His daughter’s playmate was crying. She told the father that a man, clad in a black jacket, wearing a black helmet and riding a black motorcycle, had approached the girls.
The man told the girls his cat had gone missing and he would give them money if one of the girls helped him find the cat.
The victim, the youngest of five siblings, was wearing a green T-shirt and orange shorts when she went with the suspect.
Zulhasnan said there was a possibility the suspects involved in the incident may have been responsible for a similar incident last week.
In last week’s incident, a 6-year-old girl was persuaded to follow a stranger on the pretext of "catching" cats. She was also lured with promises of an ice cream before being taken to a house where the man allegedly forced a brinjal into her private parts.
The drama unfolded when the girl was waiting for her mother outside the Tadika Islam Masjid Jamek in Kampung Baru at 11am.
She was found by her mother six hours later wandering helplessly near Jalan Daud, with bloodstains on her uniform, some 100m from the kindergarten.
Those with information on both incidents can call the Rakan Cop hotline at 03-21159999, the nearest police station or SMS to 32728.
