JOHOR BARU: A 42-year-old man was charged in the Sessions Court here with raping his daughter.
The man pleaded not guilty and claimed trial to the charge of raping his 16-year-old daughter on April 26 at his house in Johor Baru.
Judge Aliman Musri denied Mohd Yani bail, and set July 24 as a date for mention while awaiting a medical report on the girl.

JOHOR BARU: A 42-year-old man pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here to raping his 16-year-old daughter.
Judge Aliman Musri denied him bail and set July 24 for the case to be mentioned pending a medical report on the girl.
The incident allegedly happened on April 26 at his house in Taman Sri Pandan Majidee here.

As such, Shelter (Advocacy & Awareness) was started in April 2007 to be a stronger voice for children in Malaysia who have been abused or violated.
Purpose/objectives of the news tracker
Daniel Schorr of CBS News says, "All news is an exaggeration of life." But, life should not be a casual dismissal and forgetting of the many instances of abuse and violation of our children.
Shelter News Tracker is then an attempt to record and track the many reports and court cases of abuse that is reported daily in our Malaysian online newspapers. In this way, Shelter (Advocacy & Awareness) hopes to be a voice and a record for the innocents in our society.
After all, a Chinese proverb says, "Good news about someone never gets past the door, but bad news will travel a thousand leagues away."
