JOHOR BARU: A would-be rapist got what he deserved.

Not only did his victim escape, he got kicked in the groin and lost his car as well.

Police got his identity from items in the car and are now looking for him.

The suspect had picked up a 19-year-old girl in Kulai on the pretext of sending her home.

He, however, drove her to an oil palm plantation in Taman Permatang Impian off Jalan Kulai-Kota Tinggi.

The suspect then tried to rape the teenager in the car but she fought back and managed to escape.

The victim contacted police on her mobile phone and gave them the full description of the suspect and the car.

The suspect’s Perodua Kenari was spotted several hours later at Sungai Sayong by a police patrol car.

A chase ensued and the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a divider. He, however, escaped on foot.

Johor Baru (North) deputy police chief Superintendent Abd Aziz Ahmad said the victim’s quick action to alert police with full description of the suspect and his car would facilitate the speedy arrest of the suspect.
